DESCRIPTION:Advanced Cardiac Life Support or ACLS\, the American Heart Association’s course is for healthcare providers who either direct or participate in the resuscitation of a patient\, whether in or out of the hospital.  Compressions for Life offers both Initial and Renewal ACLS classes scheduled regularly.  ACLS is an advanced\, instructor-led classroom course that highlights the importance of team dynamics and communication\, systems of care and immediate post-cardiac-arrest care. It also covers airway management and related pharmacology. In this course\, skills are taught in large\, group sessions and small\, group learning and testing stations where case-based scenarios are presented. \nThis class is for medical providers such as physicians\, nurses\, emergency medical technicians\, paramedics\, respiratory therapists\, and other professionals who may respond to a cardiovascular emergency. \nACLS Renewal Course: \n\nReceive certification card valid for 2 years\nRequires both a written and a practical skills test\nOptional ECC handbook\, provider manual\, and other materials available for an additional fee\nPre-course quiz provided by American Heart Association
